THE DO+GOOD MODEL

Let’s Change Lives. One Story at a Time.

Superhumans is built on the premise that we should all lift each other up. And we are bringing that ethos to the world of audio by introducing a new model of giving back.

How does it work?

For every download, a portion of the revenues will be donated to pre-selected charities within our partner network consortium pooled from the non-profit projects of may of our storytellers. We call this the DO+GOOD Model (DOwnload for GOOD).

SHARE YOUR STORY

Everyone has a story. We want to hear from you.

We are suckers for a good story. Make us cry, laugh, or just keep us in suspense. Help our listeners heal by seeing themselves in the personal stories you share. After all, sometimes story is the best form of medicine.

Use the pitch line to share a brief version of your story to be considered for a future episode. Trust us, the world needs to hear it.

HELP US. HELP YOU.

We are looking for a few good sponsors.

Do you share our values? Are you inspired by the SUPERHUMANS mission to use story as a form of healing? Are you looking to reach a growing audience actively seeking to become the best version of themselves? Are you intrigued by the potential of using story to get your message across to our listeners?

If you answered yes to any of the above, then let’s talk. We have some creative ideas for you.

FAQs

What’s the backstory behind SUPERHUMANS?

Gautam “Dr.G” Gulati and Pamela Rothenberg – our co-creators – have been at the forefront of health & podcasts for quite some time.

There are 2 types of DNA in every human being — one comprised of our genetics, and the other comprised of the stories that shape our lives through what we experience. Intertwined, these stories inform our behaviors and, in turn, impact our health and well-being.

SUPERHUMANS is designed to reveal the intimate and often seldom-told stories that shape our lives. In doing so, we give people permission to see themselves in the stories we share. Dr.G believes ‘story’ can serve as an effective form of medicine, and co-created SUPERHUMANS with producer-extraordinaire Pamela Rothenberg, as a way to prescribe stories for universal self-healing.

Sharing such intimate stories is not easy. And being keenly self-aware to see bits and pieces of ourselves in the stories shared by others is even harder. It requires a healthy dose of both critical empathy and daring self-reflection. We like to think of it as getting both a hug and a punch at the same time.

What type of story should I share?

We want to hear an intimate moment of your life that profoundly changed you. It could be sad, funny, scary, courageous, or something else. It should reveal elements of relatable truths, and expose multi-sensory emotions that our listeners can tacitly feel.

Oftentimes the best way to understand what to share is by listening to prior episodes of SUPERHUMANS. That said, this is a creative endeavor and we are always open to new ideas.

If you don’t share it, then we will never know. So go ahead, what are you waiting for?

Who is your audience?

The SUPERHUMANS audience has a mindset of possibility, curiosity, and self-improvement. They tune in to learn how they can better their own lives by listening to the heart of someone’s personal and transformative health experiences. They are curious and courageous people seeking to become the best version of themselves so they can live their best lives.

We see both our listeners and storytellers as SUPERHUMANS for their willingness to vulnerable and have an open conversation about often difficult topics. Culturally diverse, across a wide global demographic and spanning many generations.

What is the application process?

We accept stories on a rolling basis.

Once you share your story with us, our storytelling elves immediately get to work in evaluating which stories get selected. (and by elves I mean our world-renowned committee that we call the United Nations of Storytellers.)

This is often a complex task for our review committee as it requires a combination of criteria designed to best serve our listeners.

Depending on where we are on the process, sometimes it may take a few weeks or a few months for us to get back to you regarding our decision. We sincerely appreciate your patience during this time.

Different stories fit different themes and seasons. So in the event you are not selected for a current season, we will continue to hold onto your story to determine if it fits a future season.

And in no circumstance should a declined story ever be considered unimportant. Unfortunately, we have to make difficult decisions in our selection process carefully aligned to our proprietary criteria.

We respect and honor every submitted story as it is your important truth. You are and will always be a SUPERHUMAN.

Can I share my story anonymously?

Yes and no.

While we at SUPERHUMANS clearly need to know who you are, we do not need to share your name in the episode or any promotional materials if that is of concern to you. We believe its your story and your truth that matters the most to our listeners.

If remaining anonymous is important to you, reach out and let’s see what we can do together to protect your privacy, yet still share your story for others to benefit.

Can I promote something?

Unlike many other podcasts, SUPERHUMANS is strictly non-promotional. Our audience tunes in every week to hear an authentic story told from the heart without any external influence or agenda. We do not intend to lose their trust in us.

That said, if you would like to promote a business or an idea, we can explore sponsorship opportunities where we custom create ad-based stories aligned with our messaging and mission.
